Conflicts: Catching Fire
Author's Note: I chose the book Catching Fire because it has many conflicts throughout, but I wanted to see if I could find the main conflict.
The conflict in Catching Fire is Person Vs. Society. When Katniss and Peeta are forced back to the Hunger Games for "cheating" they decide to prove that they aren't a game-piece. The capitol believes that the people who are risking their lives in the Hunger Games are a form of cheesy entertainment. This makes Katniss envious, as if she wants to run away form it all. But she decides to be brave and prove that she is not just a part of the silly game. Overall, the conflict is between Katniss and the Capitol's Hunger Games. Although Katniss can't really argue with the capital so she proves it through her behavior. The resolution is Katniss winning the Hunger Games and proving the Capital wrong once again.
