Patriot's Pen Essay

                If you could look back into the past would you regret any decisions?  Or would you remember your desired moments?  Discovering our past will resemble our future.  We may have made mistakes along the way, but those mistakes help us learn.  Lifestyles may change but our goal still thrives throughout time.  To be liberated, and to voice our opinion.  Without freedom where would we be right now?  Would we still be the breathtaking, triumphant, independent country we know and love? 

                Without our founding fathers, America would not be victorious.  Fearless and brave, these men left their loved ones to battle for our country.  They struggled to ensure your freedom, they did the unthinkable.  Unforgiving days became years, but they never gave up on their hopes and dreams.  Believe it or not, against the odds, these brave men came out successful.  The American Flag rose into the air, flitting through the wind, announcing success!  People everywhere could breathe a sigh of relief, and be thankful to  their heroes.  Where would America be without them? 

                Had we forgotten what to be thankful for?  Sometimes, we as Americans, can be greedy.  All we desire is money or valuables, although there is plenty more that we should be grateful for.  Not even a diamond ring compares to the significance of the freedom that we received from our founding fathers. In reality we have to understand that we are fortunate for what we have, since it may not be there tomorrow.  Luckily our founding fathers insured liberty for our nation, that will remain with us throughout time.  To me, nothing can measure up to to the gift of justice and devotion.  Years ago, people risked their lives to give America the gift of independence, and that is the only thing we necessitate.  A dependable, courageous country, with a positive mindset and a  bright future. 

                It’s hard to believe that I could be the president one day.  It’s a good thing that I will have the founding fathers guiding me through my troubles, and setting an example.  Without the founding fathers my goals would not be recognized, and my dreams would not be heard. 

                This is my thanks to you, because you helped me find my way.  You’ve given me the wonderful life I have.  I give you eternal thanks, for you have given me a gift beyond compare.
